HEY AGAIN!

Or if not again, welcome to The Attitude Of Adventure Blog!
I'm Morgan Deane and my mission with this blog is to give great, applicable advice and funny stories, so that you get a laughleave with something helpful, and keep coming back!
I'm a Christ follower, I'm married to the LOVE of my life, we're parents to Winston BARKtholomew Deane the Goldendoodle, and I love drinking homemade smoothies every morning!

And now, for the reason you came here today!
Andy and I love to get out and explore. We go on unique dates to fun places, we go out to eat, we hang with friends and have game nights. But sometimes you've just got to Netflix and Chill. I've compiled a list of some of our favorite shows that we've watched together. Plus two that are on Amazon Prime.
Andy watches a great range of shows, but I have to have something funny to keep me interested. If there's not humor and/or romance, I won't keep watching. So I asked Andy to give me his favorite shows as well.

NETFLIX SHOWS WE BOTH LOVE

Merlin
5 seasons with 13 episodes each = 65 episodes
This was one I had watched and introduced Andy to. Watching it again, I noticed how cheesy it starts out, but it gets better. It's family friendly and funny.
Nikita
4 seasons with about 22 episodes each, but only 6 in the last = 73 episodes
Andy introduced this to me when we were dating. It's about a kick-butt spy and how she breaks free of the sketchy super secret government facility. I'm not sure that we ever finished all of the seasons, but I would definitely go back and re-watch.
The Flash
4 seasons so far with 23 episodes each = 92 episodes
If you're looking for a TV show about superheroes that will make you laugh, search no further. I'm more of a Marvel fan than of DC, but this show they did well. Every other DC hero seems to be dark and brooding, but The Flash is light-hearted and sweet.
Arrow
6 seasons so far with 23 episodes each = 138 episodes
This is another DC show. Though not as light-hearted as The Flash, but we did enjoy watching it. And it pairs well with the show above. Sometimes they have joint episodes where Arrow stars in The Flash and vice versa.
Supernatural
13 seasons so far with about 22 episodes each = 287 episodes
This is one we're currently in the middle of watching. It's one of the only shows that I actually enjoy watching with supernatural beings and happenings. I hate going to bed scared and don't find those kinds of shows enjoyable to watch, but this one is not as creepy and scary.
Sherlock
4 seasons so far with 3 episodes each except season 3 which has 7 = 16 episodes
Keep in mind that each episode is a movie's length. This show is not to be watched casually. They're so attentive to detail. There's a lot of dry humor, but it's so enjoyable to watch because of the uniqueness of the main character.
Designated Survivor
2 seasons so far with 22 and 23 episodes each = 45 episodes
We finished this one recently and really enjoyed it! The first season is way better than the second season though. Each episode is intense and keeps you on the edge of your couch. Great cliffhangers and an interesting plot.
The Good Place
2 seasons so far with 13 and 12 episodes each = 25 episodes
If you're looking for something unique and hilarious, check out this show! It's easy to commit to with the average episode being only 22 minutes long. The plot is very funny and the 2nd season was even better than expected.
The Crown
2 seasons so far with 10 hour-long episodes each = 20 episodes
This is the only one that doesn't really give me a laugh, but it's extremely satisfying to watch. This historical show is very attentive to details and gives insight into the life of the royal family. We can't wait for more seasons to come!
Limitless
1 season with 22 episodes
A cheesy, hilarious spy show about a guy who takes a pill and becomes a super genius. He works for the government, all the while trying to fill his own agenda when possible. It's silly and only 1 season, but we enjoyed watching and laughing together.

MY PERSONAL NETFLIX FAVORITES

Parenthood
6 seasons with an average of 17 episodes each = 103 episodes
Prepare to have you heart wrenched. I adore this show! It's so real and shows the problems of everyday life. Life isn't perfect and they don't pretend like it is. The season finale left me in a puddle of tears.
Grey's Anatomy
14 seasons so far with an average of 22 episodes each = 317 episodes
I'm not into doctor shows, but I've absolutely fallen for this show. I'm still only in season 6, but I've enjoyed it thus far and they're still filming. There's doctor stuff, but they make it pretty easy to understand and mix in some drama and romance with the unique characters.
Jane The Virgin
4 seasons so far with about 20 episodes each = 81 episodes
This is such a silly, fun-loving, uplifting show. I would leave watching feeling happier and lighter! When I first heard about it, I thought it was about a high school girl who was being pressured by peers, but it starts with her getting accidentally impregnated.
Hart Of Dixie
4 seasons with 22 episodes each except for season 4 which has 10 episodes = 76 episodes
This is such a sweet show! The main character is just the cutest and you can't help but fall in love. It's another doctor show, but it's not much about doctoring. I loved every second of this show and will one day go back and re-watch.
Glee
6 seasons with about 20 episodes each = 121 episodes
I haven't watched this in quite some time, but would love to go back and re-watch. It's fun to watch the characters harmonize and follow their musical dreams. It's extremely drama filled and can leave me feeling emotionally exhausted, but overall I liked it.
The Office
9 seasons with about 22 episodes each = 201 episodes
If you're looking for a show with dry humor and only about 20 minutes of commitment, watch this. It's relatable and hilarious! There's also some romance involved which makes it easier for me to stay invested in.
The Fosters
5 seasons with about 21 episodes each = 104 episodes
This show deals with lots of issues that no one seems to want to talk about. The fostering system is broken and not many people want to help with it. The more awareness we can spread, the better it can get. Plus they show common family dynamics, so it's fun to watch and easy to relate to.
Once Upon A Time
7 seasons with about 22 episodes each = 155 episodes
Fairy tale world meets real life with this fun show. Bringing these characters to life, the show delves into details you didn't know and puts a delightful spin on their world. You'll be drawn in, especially if you have loved fairy tales.
Gossip Girl
6 seasons with an average 20 episodes each = 121 episodes
As the title may give away, there is a lot drama in this show. Backstabbing, gossip, broken promises and friendships. And you'll never guess who the Gossip Girl is, but once you know you'll want to watch all over again.

ANDY'S PERSONAL NETFLIX FAVORITES

Zoo
3 seasons with 13 episodes each = 39 episodes
It's a cliche horror drama where all of the animals have turned against humanity and attack instead of acting like they usually do. Nonso and Billy Burke are 2 of my favorite actors in the show. - Also on Starz
Blacklist
5 seasons with about 22 episodes each = 111 episodes
It's a new take on the crime solving genre where the main character, Raymond, is actually a bad guy who is informing the FBI of all his enemies. The show keeps you guessing as Raymond clearly knows more than he lets on. - Also on NBC
Stranger Things
2 seasons so far with 8 and 9 episodes = 17 episodes
A nostalgia trip even for people not born in the 80's. The supernatural aspect of this show keeps Morgan from watching with me, but I enjoy it.
Daredevil
3 seasons so far with 13 episodes each = 39 episodes
This Marvel show may not tie into the MCU directly, but it's totally worth the watch anyway. Season 3 is one of the best seasons of television I've ever watched. Morgan found it a bit too violent, but I kept watching without her.
TURN: Washington's Spies
4 seasons with 10 episodes each = 40 episodes
Oh yes; This is a good one! Based on the real revolutionary war spies, the main characters in enemy territory are risking their lives. The tension will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Also, AMERICA!!
The Messengers
1 season with 13 episodes
A group of normal people suddenly die only to be revived with supernatural powers. They find out that they're the only ones who can stop the devil from bringing on the end of the world. Apparently no one else seemed to enjoy it, but I thought it was fun.
Vampire Diaries
8 seasons with an average of 21 episodes each = 171 episodes
I originally tried to avoid it as my mom and sister watched it religiously. But the glimpses that I caught were enough to suck me in. It stands head and shoulders above most modern TV.
The Originals
5 seasons with an average of 18 episodes each = 92 episodes
The sister show of Vampire Diaries based on the original vampires and their background stories. Written by the same authors of Vampire Diaries, it has the same drama and suction.
The Tomorrow People
1 season with 22 episodes
It's a fun idea which sometimes falls short. A group of people have evolved to gain super powers and are hunted by corporations who want to wipe them from existence.
Knightfall
1 season with 10 episodes
A dramatic show based around the crusades and the holy grail. Every character cares about the holy grail and no one in the audience does. But it's still a fun adventure as the political intrigue, the religious powers, and doing what's right all clash in spectacular fashion. I'm hoping for more seasons!
Broadchurch
3 seasons with 8 episodes each = 24 episodes
A depressing show that you just can't pull yourself away from. In a sad murder mystery, the whole town is suspect. The entire time you're watching, you're guessing who you think murdered the boy and you're so wrong every time.
Burn Notice
7 seasons with an average of 16 episodes each = 111 episodes
This is one of the few shows that I've watched multiple times. It perfectly balances episode and season story arcs. You can watch a whole season or just a single episode and it's always fun. - Also found on Hulu
 Longmire
6 seasons with 10 episodes each except for season 2 which has 13 = 63 episodes
I'm in the middle of this right now. It's a gritty western crime show where the main character battles to keep his job and do what's right.

AMAZON PRIME SHOWS

Chuck
5 seasons with an average of 18 episodes each = 90 episodes
Y'all. This is my #1 absolute FAVORITE TV show ever in all of time! Originally when I watched this show, it was on Netflix. It's about a spy played by Zachary Levi. It's hilarious and romantic. I have watched it at least 4 times all the way through and will continue to watch it again and again until the end of time.
Jack Ryan
1 season so far with 8 episodes
This intense show with a hunky main character is easy to watch and keeps you interested. The way the portray the cultures is fascinating and gives you a different perspective. It's a fun spy show that we really enjoyed and look forward to continuing watching.
Covert Affairs
5 seasons with about 15 episodes each = 75 episodes
I don't know about the whole show, but the first few seasons were a lot of fun. The show follows a young spy, Annie, learning her way around a dark business. One of the highlights is the character Auggie, a blind handler, who manages the spy's missions. I'd really like to get back and re-watch one of these days.

SHOWS THAT SHOULD COME BACK TO NETFLIX

LOST
6 seasons with about 20 episodes each = 121 episodes
Lost speaks for itself. If you haven't watched it yet, what are you even doing with your life. Sit your butt down and watch it right now... Just leave off the last season. - Hulu
Prison Break
5 seasons so far with an average of  18 episodes each = 90 episodes
Season 1 is the best by far. Unfortunately, (spoiler alert), after they break out, it loses some of the drama. Beware though, if you begin watching, you'll lose all track of time as it sucks you in. - Hulu
Breakout Kings
2 seasons with 13 and 10 episodes = 23 episodes
By the same writers and director as Prison Break, this thrilling show will keep you engaged. Criminals have broken out of jail, so the authorities hire other criminals to hunt them down with promise of freedom at completion. - Hulu
White Collar
6 seasons with an average of 13 episodes each = 81 episodes
A suave criminal gets a deal to get out of jail. In return, he must help solve the crimes of his counterparts. Who's really in charge though? The handler or the criminal? Matt Bomer is absolutely astounding and easy on the eyes. Also, Tiffani Thiessen who plays the wife is one of our favorite actresses. - Hulu
Revenge
4 seasons with about 22 episodes each = 89 episodes
Ah! Revenge! I almost forgot about this one. We love this show! It's another spy sort of show, but with a different twist. We were absolutely enchanted with the characters and had a hard time choosing our favorites. - Hulu
Lie To Me
3 seasons with 13 episodes each except season 2 which has 22 episodes = 48 episodes
This is a different take on the crime genre as the main character focuses on micro expressions and body language to tell if people are lying. It's a fun twist on an over-saturated genre. - Hulu
JAG
10 seasons with an average of 22 episodes each = 227 episodes
JAG is the oldest show on this list. It's one of the first shows I really remember loving. It follows a group of lawyers who are investigating and prosecuting military crimes. It has both sides, the investigative and the courtroom. - CBS
Heroes
4 seasons with an average of 19 episodes each = 77 episodes
This is such a fun show about characters with super powers. It's been quite awhile since I've watched, but I remember loving it and being drawn into the world. - NBC & Viki

SHOWS NO LONGER FREELY AVAILABLE

These shows don't show anymore on Netflix or Amazon Prime, but they're some of our favorites and if they show up again, we'll be sure to rewatch.
Persons Unknown
1 season with 13 episodes
This is no longer available to watch for free, but for $9.99 you can watch the whole season on Amazon. It's an intense drama about a group of adults who are kidnapped and trapped in a town. They have to find their way out and get free. It's too bad they stopped filming because we really enjoyed this show.
Suits
8 seasons with about 16 episodes each except for season 1 which has 12 episodes = 118 episodes
A fun show where the main character is forced to constantly lie about who he is and his credentials. If caught, he could lose everything. You would think a show like that would be dramatic and tension filled. But they've managed to make it fun and exciting.
Fringe
5 seasons with an average of 20 episodes each = 100 episodes
Fringe is one of the weirdest shows. But it's a blast all the same and it's not afraid to go places that other shows would never go. As a result, it has lots of unique ideas and concepts. The main character can be a little dry, but Walter play by John Noble, is an absolute blast!
Revolution
2 seasons with 20 and 22 episodes = 42 episodes
Produced by J.J. Abrams, this is an apocalypse show and takes place when suddenly the whole world loses power. A small ragtag people work together to try to get the power back on and save the world.
